SCC recognized with HP PartnerOne Award for Worldwide New Style of IT Partner of the Year

Birmingham, UK, 26-3-2014 — /EuropaWire/ — SCC, Europe’s largest independent technology solutions provider, today announced that it has been recognized with the HP PartnerOne Award for Worldwide New Style of IT Partner of the Year at the 2014 HP Global Partner Conference.

The HP PartnerOne Worldwide New Style of IT Partner of the Year honors SCC for its sustained innovation in cloud, mobility, big data and security areas of IT.

Commenting on the award win, James Rigby, Chief Executive of SCC said:

“This is a significant accolade for SCC and testament to the merits of our approach to service delivery. We’ve worked together for more than three decades, so few companies are better placed than HP to judge our capabilities in cloud, mobility, big data, and security solutions.

As a company we have made no secret of the importance of these service areas, and have actively pursued a strategy underpinned by technologies like cloud, mobility, big data and security. To be recognised as a global leader in these areas, by a partner that shares the same vision, serves as a confirmation of the credibility of that approach.”

Affirming a market leading position in the delivery of end to end services that allow its customers to unlock new ways of delivering IT services, the award recognises SCC’s expertise in design, supply, implementation, support and maintenance of effective IT solutions.

Recognised during a glittering ceremony hosted at the iconic MGM Grand resort in Las Vegas, SCC UK’s Chris Leng, General Manager Relationships and Didier Lejeune, Director General of SCC France, picked up the award in front of a guest audience comprising industry big hitters and top level HP executives.

Andy Wright, SCC UK Commercial Director, added:

“Having met the tough criteria to gain HP’s highest level of accreditation, that of Platinum Partner in 2013, SCC is pleased to win such a prestigious award at the annual Global Partner Conference. Recognition at this worldwide level is hugely satisfying, crediting our unique approach to IT and the long-term commitment we have put into the HP PartnerOne program.

SCC’s highly talented teams from across the business are consistently focused on improving services and pushing the  boundaries in terms of the application of HP products as part of fully integrated solutions, and our ability to perform is supported by the strong partnership we have developed with HP over the years.”

The HP PartnerOne Award winners were selected by a panel of HP Channel executives and presented to outstanding HP partners who have demonstrated exceptional business performance, achieved significant overall growth, and have delivered innovative solutions to customers.

“The New Style of IT requires HP and partners to work hand-in-hand to address customer needs that require forward-thinking solutions,” said Lynn Anderson, senior vice president, Demand Generation and Channel Marketing, HP. “This award for SCC is a clear proof point in our collective ability to deliver real solutions that meet real needs.”
