(PRESS RELEASE) SÖDERTÄLJE, 25-Sep-2025 — /EuropaWire/ — Scania is set to make a strong impression at Busworld Europe 2025 in Brussels, presenting a revitalised lineup of sustainable transport solutions for both urban and long-distance applications. Visitors to Hall 4, Booth 404 will discover a portfolio that underlines Scania’s commitment to cost-efficient, low-emission people transport and its determination to remain at the forefront of industry transformation.

The company will unveil a brand-new electric product live during the event, adding to its already comprehensive e-mobility range. This announcement will accompany the recent debut of the Scania 3-axle low-entry electric bus platform, which was introduced in April with the Scania Irizar i3. Together, these solutions highlight Scania’s drive to accelerate the adoption of electrification across multiple segments.

Alongside its electric innovations, Scania will highlight its new powertrain platform for coach applications. Available in both a combustion-engine variant – the highly efficient Scania Super – and a plug-in hybrid (PHEV) version, the platform delivers fuel and emission savings while enabling operators to comply with zero-emission zone requirements. Visitors will also have the opportunity to test ride the Scania Irizar i6S Efficient PHEV outside the exhibition hall, a vehicle that is competing in the Busworld Vehicle Awards.

Inside the Scania stand, attendees will encounter a range of solutions designed to cover the full spectrum of customer needs. This includes the Scania Touring LBG/LNG, which recently won the Coach category of the Sustainable Bus Awards 2025. Vehicles will also be featured at the stands of leading bodybuilders, underscoring Scania’s strong industry partnerships.

Tobias Siöström, Marketing Communications Manager for People Transport Solutions at Scania, emphasised the significance of this year’s participation:
“We are coming to Busworld to present our most advanced portfolio yet – solutions built to meet tomorrow’s transport requirements with outstanding competitiveness in sustainability and operating economy. Our extended range is designed to help customers navigate today’s uncertainties with confidence, supported by Scania’s extensive services and solutions offering.”

Scania’s involvement at Busworld Europe extends beyond its exhibition. Company experts will contribute to the official congress, including the session ‘Long Distance Operations: The Future of Coach’, reinforcing its role as a thought leader in shaping the industry’s path toward sustainable transport.

Busworld Europe 2025 takes place from 4 to 9 October at Brussels Expo.
