SINGAPORE, 14-7-2014 — /EuropaWire/ — Savills Singapore is pleased to announce the promotion of Steven Ming to Managing Director, Head of Investment Sales & Residential Services.
The expanded role gives Steven oversight of the business space, residential sales, residential leasing, prestige homes and international residential sales businesses at the Savills Singapore office. He continues to head the investment sales department.
Steven joined Savills a decade ago as associate director and ran a successful prestige homes business that focused primarily in Good Class Bungalow and luxury residential sales. In late 2005, he was involved in residential collective sales before assuming the role of head of the investment sales department in 2006. He has since led the team to close S$6 billion worth of investment transactions. Highlights of Steven’s investment career include brokering a number of significant prime collective sales including Hillcourt Apartments and Westwood Apartments for S$361m and S$435m respectively; more than S$1.3 billion of residential bulk sale transactions that include Paterson Suites, City Vista Residences and Hilltops; non residential transactions includes the sales of Anson House, Union Industrial Building, Platinum 28, 160 Changi Road amongst others. Prior to this latest appointment, he was deputy managing director and head of investment sales.
“Investment and Residential are important pillars of any agency transactional business here and we have talented leaders running them for us. However, the agency business is rapidly evolving and becoming fiercely competitive in the face of a changing market, especially on the residential sales front. Being handed the reins will give me the opportunity to galvanize and draw our capabilities together to take our collective business to a new higher level, further consolidating our market position. It is my vision to see Savills develop into our client’s top go-to name for investment and residential services.” said Steven Ming.
“Over the past 10 years under the Savills banner, Steven has become well recognised and highly regarded both our local and international clients as a market leader. I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate Steven and thank him for his ongoing support of the firm’s initiative to grow its businesses in Singapore and the South East Asian Region”, said Chris Marriot, CEO of Savills South East Asia.
