Savills Completes Acquisition of Eastdil Secured and Creates Global Real Estate Investment Banking Platform

(IN BRIEF) Savills Plc has completed its acquisition of Eastdil Secured LLC for an enterprise value of $1,112.5 million, approximately £827 million. The transaction brings together Savills’ global real estate advisory platform with Eastdil Secured’s real estate investment banking capabilities, strengthening Savills’ position across capital markets, investment advisory and major real estate transactions. Eastdil Secured has been rebranded as Eastdil Secured Savills and will operate within Savills Group as its Real Estate Investment Bank. The combined group will become the number two advisory firm globally for prime commercial real estate transactions above $100 million. The transaction was funded through loan finance and new Savills shares, representing around 16% of the enlarged share capital, issued to Eastdil Secured equity holders including Guggenheim, Temasek, Wells Fargo, leadership and senior employees.

(PRESS RELEASE) LONDON, 4-Aug-2026 — /EuropaWire/ — Savills Plc has completed its acquisition of Eastdil Secured LLC, bringing together one of the world’s leading international real estate advisers with a preeminent global real estate investment bank.

The transaction, first announced on 12 March 2026, values Eastdil Secured at an enterprise value of $1,112.5 million, equivalent to approximately £827 million.

Savills said the acquisition positions the group as a global leader in real estate advisory services by combining complementary service lines, geographic reach and sector expertise.

The transaction significantly expands Savills’ presence in Real Estate Investment Banking and accelerates its strategy to scale in North America, while strengthening its leadership position in EMEA and Asia Pacific.

The acquisition was funded through loan finance and the issue of new ordinary shares in Savills.

The newly issued shares represent approximately 16% of Savills’ enlarged share capital.

They have been issued to the ultimate holders of equity interests in Eastdil Secured, including Guggenheim, Temasek and Wells Fargo, together with Eastdil Secured’s leadership team and senior employees.

These parties have become shareholders in Savills in exchange for their existing interests in Eastdil Secured.

Following completion, Eastdil Secured has been rebranded with immediate effect as Eastdil Secured Savills.

The business will continue to operate its existing model within Savills Group as the group’s Real Estate Investment Bank.

Eastdil Secured Savills provides advice on mergers and acquisitions, continuation vehicles, joint ventures, sales, debt placement, structured credit and loan sales to investors worldwide.

Savills said the business is highly complementary to its broader real estate services platform.

The combined group will become the number two advisory firm globally for prime commercial real estate transactions valued above $100 million.

The executive leadership of Eastdil Secured Savills includes Roy H. March as Executive Chairman, responsible for client advisory and execution.

Michael Van Konynenburg will serve as Chief Executive Officer, responsible for day-to-day operations, strategy and key client advisory.

James McCaffrey will serve as President, leading international growth from London.

Van Konynenburg and McCaffrey will both join the Savills Group Executive Board.

Eastdil Secured Savills will maintain key headquarters in New York, Santa Monica and London.

Its existing 21 offices will join Savills’ wider network across more than 70 countries.
