HOLZKIRCHEN, 04-Dec-2018 — /EuropaWire/ — Sandoz, a Novartis division, has been certified “TOP Employer Asia Pacific 2019” for its exceptional employee offerings in the region. Sandoz is certified in five Asia Pacific countries, leading to regional certification. Those countries are: China, Japan, Thailand, Australia and Pakistan.

The annual, international research undertaken by the Top Employers Institute recognizes leading employers around the world: Those that provide excellent employee environments, nurture and develop talent throughout all levels of the organization, and which strive to continuously optimize employment practices.

“The Asia Pacific region is one where access to healthcare needs new, novel approaches. By supporting our people, we ensure our ability to be there for patients,” said Joy Xu, Head of Global Human Resources at Sandoz. “We want the best for our people, so they can give their best for patients.”

Crucial to the Top Employers Institute is the completion of a stringent research process. To further reinforce the validity of the process, all answers were independently audited. The Top Employers Institute assessed companies’ employee offerings on the following criteria: Talent Strategy, Workforce Planning, On-Boarding, Learning & Development,  Performance Management, Leadership Development, Career & Succession Management, Compensation & Benefits and Culture.

“Sandoz is committed to being a top employer. This recognition in the APAC region confirms this strategic goal and the efforts we’ve been dedicating to our people strategy around the world,” said Joy Xu.

“In 2018, we ensured all Sandoz countries, including those in Asia Pacific, would offer flexible working options to employees. We also have dedicated development programs for women and their careers, as well as many other groups. People are the company. We strive to create a winning and inclusive environment to attract, inspire, develop and retain the best in these critical markets.”

David Plink, CEO of Top Employer Institute, said, “Top Employers in the APAC region are able to consistently perform in an environment of high economic growth and a very dynamic labor market. This makes the Top Employers 2019 an even more impressive group of organizations. Moreover, the growth of the number of certified employers shows that the level of maturity in HR in the APAC region is increasing every year.”

In February 2018, Sandoz was officially certified “TOP Employer Europe 2018” for its exceptional employee offerings in Western Europe and Russia.
