Saint-Gobain announced the sale of certain glass processing businesses as part of its business profile optimization strategy
(PRESS RELEASE) COURBEVOIE, France, 27-May-2022 — /EuropaWire/ — Saint-Gobain (EPA: SGO), a French multinational producer of construction, high-performance, and other materials, has announced the sale of certain glass processing businesses in Germany and Austria. In Germany, the company has agreed to the sale of its holding in the co-venture Glaskontor Erfurt to the CALEOGLAS Group. In Austria, the company has sold its glass processing businesses Eckelt Glas and Glas Ziegler to AEQUITA, a privately-owned German group.
Together, these businesses generated sales of around €55 million in 2021 and employ more than 320 people.
These transactions are part of Saint-Gobain’s continued business profile optimization strategy, in line with the “Grow & Impact” plan objectives.
