One of Russia’s largest manufacturers of electricity generators and electric motors is to form a research center at Skolkovo under an agreement worth 280 million rubles and signed at Startup Village this week.
MOSCOW, 8-6-2015 — /EuropaWire/ — Ruselprom is a leading Russian electrical engineering concern that comprises 12 manufacturing enterprises, engineering and design companies, manufacturing and supplying over 3,000 items, electric motors, generators, control and excitation systems and other types of electrical machines to customers.
The deal to station 40 Ruselprom researchers at Skolkovo by 2016 was inked Wednesday by Ruselprom director Stanislav Shcherbakov and Nikolay Grachev, Skolkovo vice president and executive director of the energy cluster. The research center’s budget will be more than 280 million rubles.
“At Skolkovo, we, as component developers, will be able to meet clients and, most importantly, that’s an opportunity to recruit promising young personnel, which is the biggest asset of any company,” said Shcherbakov.
Under the terms of the agreement, Ruselprom will research efficient energy solutions in the fields of electrical engineering, import-substitution solutions, hybrid drive vehicles and, more generally, drive the innovation activities of the company.
According to the energy cluster’s Mikhail Tykuchinsky, those research areas coincide strongly with the requirements of Skolkovo resident startups.
“This year we plan to create a working group for ecologically clean transport, which will bring together car manufacturers, component developers and producers, and electricity companies that create the necessary infrastructure,” he said.
