Quantum Systems Enhances RELIANT With Hybrid-Electric Power and Multi-Payload Flexibility

RELIANT maintains a small logistical footprint, requiring only a 10 × 10 metre launch and recovery area. It can be assembled by two people and operated by one person, making it suitable for infrastructure-independent and ship-based operations. The latest generation of RELIANT adds increased payload capacity, broader mission flexibility and full software integration with the company’s MOSAIC UXS ecosystem.

Quantum Systems said the upgraded platform is built around a fully European supply chain and a minimal logistical footprint, positioning RELIANT to compete for major international contracts.

The upgrades form part of Quantum Systems’ continuous development and research strategy, with improvements shaped by operational feedback from military users and partners.

The new RELIANT generation features a hybrid-electric power unit and increases payload capacity to up to 9 kg.

This allows the platform to support a wider range of mission profiles and payload combinations.

Depending on operational needs, RELIANT can carry electro-optical sensors, laser-target designators, synthetic aperture radar, SIGINT and electronic warfare payloads.

It can also support SATCOM, relay and other mission-specific capabilities.

Despite the expanded payload and mission options, RELIANT retains the compact deployment model associated with Quantum Systems platforms.

The system offers easy packaging options and can be assembled by a two-person team.

Operations can be conducted by a single operator.

The hybrid-electric vertical take-off and landing platform requires only a 10 × 10 metre launch and recovery area.

This makes RELIANT independent of conventional launch and recovery infrastructure and suitable for ship-based operations.

Beyond the aircraft itself, RELIANT is fully integrated into the MOSAIC UXS software platform.

This integration enables interoperability with other unmanned systems in multi-domain operations.

Quantum Systems said it delivers RELIANT as a complete long-range unmanned capability, supported by operator workstations, training, sustainment and lifecycle support.

The platform is not positioned as a standalone aircraft, but as part of a broader operational ecosystem.

RELIANT also completes Quantum Systems’ Family of Aerial Systems, complementing the short-range Twister and mid-range Vector AI platforms.

Quantum Systems’ unmanned aerial systems are already in service with NATO and allied armed forces, including the German Armed Forces and the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The company said RELIANT is built around a secure European supply chain and supported by its growing industrial base.

The system contains no Chinese components and is not subject to ITAR restrictions, giving customers greater flexibility in procurement and deployment.
