QS survey ranks Coventry the 39th best city in the world to be a student

COVENTRY, 21-Feb-2017 — /EuropaWire/ — Coventry has been named the 39th best city in the world to be a student, and is in top five in the UK.

The latest annual QS survey has seen the city improve by five places against 2016. Published annually, the QS Best Student Cities index is based on six key categories: University Rankings; Student Mix; Desirability; Employer Activity; Affordability and a new category for 2017 called Student View, based on a survey of students and recent graduates around the world.

The city’s ranking follows the University of Warwick being named the university targeted by the largest number of the UK’s top graduate employers following research for the Graduate Market. The success means Warwick attracted the largest number of those top graduate recruiters for campus fairs, recruitment presentations or other promotions during 2016-2017. The Graduate Market in 2017 is a study of the latest graduate vacancies and starting salaries at the UK’s one hundred best-known and most successful employers, conducted by High Fliers Research during December 2016.

The QS survey highlighted Warwick Arts Centre, which houses various performance spaces, galleries and a cinema and is one of the largest arts centres in the UK, and Coventry’s active student life.
