PNE Group Continues to Advance its Wind Energy Expansion in Germany
(IN BRIEF) PNE Group has commissioned and added two new wind farms in Schleswig-Holstein, Germany, with a combined rated output of 21.6 MW to its renewable energy portfolio. The wind farms are located in Hamwarde and near Stuvenborn and consist of Nordex and Vestas wind turbines. This addition brings PNE Group’s total wind farm capacity to 370 MW. The company aims to reach an output of 1,500 MW/MWp from wind and photovoltaic systems by the end of 2027, and with the commissioning of these two wind farms, they are making progress towards that goal. Additionally, PNE Group has exceeded its interim target of having 500 MW in operation or under construction by the end of 2023.
(PRESS RELEASE) CUXHAVEN, Germany, 24-Jan-2024 — /EuropaWire/ — PNE AG (ETR: PNE3), a Clean Energy Solutions Provider, announces that it has successfully commissioned and integrated two new wind farms into its renewable energy portfolio in Schleswig-Holstein. These wind farms, located in Hamwarde (Duchy of Lauenburg district) and near Stuvenborn (Segeberg district), have a combined rated output of 21.6 MW. In Hamwarde, two Nordex N149 wind turbines with 5.70 MW each were connected to the grid, while the Stuvenborn wind farm features a Vestas V150 (6 MW) and a Vestas V136 (4.2 MW) turbine. Together, these wind farms generate enough electricity to power approximately 15,000 households annually.
Markus Lesser, CEO of PNE AG, expressed the company’s commitment to clean energy solutions, with a target of having 1,500 MW/MWp of wind and photovoltaic systems in operation or under construction by the end of 2027. With the addition of these two wind farms, PNE Group has made significant progress toward achieving this goal. Currently, the company has eleven wind farms under construction with a total output of approximately 281 MW, which will join its generation portfolio upon completion. Combined with the existing 370 MW, this brings PNE Group’s operational or under-construction capacity to about 651 MW, surpassing its strategic interim target of 500 MW by the end of 2023.
