(PRESS RELEASE) PARIS, 11-Apr-2025 — /EuropaWire/ — Orange is set to launch two new Wi‑Fi 7 enabled Livebox models, the New Livebox 7 and the Livebox S, both designed with eco‑friendly principles and cutting‑edge technology. The latest devices boast enhanced Wi‑Fi 7 connectivity, enabling faster, more stable connections—even in areas far from the router—and are complemented by improved TV services. Customers will enjoy access to five new channels and a next‑generation TV decoder as part of an effort to heighten the overall digital entertainment experience.

The New Livebox 7 is Orange’s premium offering, engineered for ultra‑fast connectivity with speeds reaching up to 8 Gbit/s. Its state‑of‑the‑art Wi‑Fi 7 technology ensures optimal performance across every corner of the home. The device features an elegant design, intuitive plug‑and‑play installation that automatically reconnects all Wi‑Fi devices, and is available within Orange’s triple play packages. Notably, the Livebox Max Fiber offer now benefits from Wi‑Fi 7 without increasing its current monthly price, while the Livebox Up Fiber offer sees its speed enhanced to match the 8 Gbit/s benchmark under unchanged pricing conditions. Business customers can also access the New Livebox 7 via tailored fiber offers starting at competitive monthly rates.

Complementing the premium model is the new Livebox S, a mid‑range device set to replace the previous Livebox 5 model across standard triple play packages. Powered by Wi‑Fi 7, it supports download speeds up to 2 Gbit/s and upload speeds reaching 800 Mbit/s. A key innovation in the Livebox S is its integrated optical pencil technology, which streamlines the fiber installation process, eliminating the need for a technician visit when a fiber socket is already in place.

Orange is also maintaining its commitment to sustainable product design. Both new Livebox models incorporate recycled plastic casings, improved repairability, low‑consumption E‑ink screens, fanless operation, and optimized recycled cardboard packaging. The New Livebox 7 features intelligent Wi‑Fi that deactivates the 5 GHz band when unnecessary, cutting power consumption by as much as 30%, while a new industrial process refurbishes power supplies for the Livebox S. These advancements contribute to an 8% and 14% reduction, respectively, in the overall carbon footprint compared to previous models, a performance certified by the Footprint Progress label from Bureau Veritas.

Enhanced TV services are also in the spotlight. The TV Decoder 6, rolled out in 2024 and now available with selected Livebox fiber offers, supports voice control and easy streaming across all major platforms. New Orange TV channels—including RTL9, MCM, E!, RFM, and M6 Music—join Disney Channel and National Geographic. In addition, customers benefit from a €5 monthly discount on Paramount+ with the Livebox Max offer, along with other streaming deals. Functions such as “Resume program from the beginning” and access to the Orange TV app on multiple devices come at no extra cost. Moreover, new customers subscribing to the Livebox + Smart TV offer can avail themselves of a promotional Samsung UHD 4K 43” TV at a special price.

Further solidifying its market leadership, Orange remains ranked number one in customer satisfaction among fiber subscribers, as shown by the ARCEP report “User Satisfaction with Mobile and Internet Operators” published on April 3, 2025. Orange’s superior ratings extend across internet connection quality, box reliability, and television service, securing the top spot for the fifth consecutive year. In addition, Orange has recently been named Customer Service of the Year 2025 in individual communications and continues its streak in business communications for the fourth consecutive time.
