Omnia Training Selects Rheinmetall as Land Collective Training Partner for UK Army Programme

(IN BRIEF) Rheinmetall Electronics UK will take on a major role in the digitalisation of British Army combat training as part of Omnia Training, the consortium selected to deliver the Army Collective Training System under the British Army’s Collective Training Transformation Programme. The consortium is led by Raytheon UK, an RTX business. Rheinmetall will serve as the Land Collective Training Partner, supporting the design and delivery of key elements of the programme. Its share of the contract is valued at just under €1 billion, and the service contract will run for 15 years, with operational implementation expected to begin in summer 2026. The programme will involve the integration and delivery of live, virtual and constructive simulation systems, as well as physical training infrastructure, system configuration and logistics support. Rheinmetall said the contract will secure and create skilled jobs across its UK sites, including the Isle of Wight, Southampton, Bristol and Warminster.

(PRESS RELEASE) DÜSSELDORF, 13-Jul-2026 — /EuropaWire/ — Rheinmetall Electronics UK will play a major role in the digital transformation of British Army combat training as part of the Omnia Training consortium selected to deliver the Army Collective Training System.

The programme forms part of the British Army’s Collective Training Transformation Programme and is designed to modernise the way collective training is delivered through advanced live, virtual and constructive simulation capabilities.

Omnia Training is led by Raytheon UK as prime contractor and brings together several industry partners to provide a new collective training capability for the British Army. Raytheon UK is an RTX business.

Rheinmetall has been appointed as the Land Collective Training Partner within the consortium. In this role, the company will support the design and delivery of key programme elements. Rheinmetall’s share of the contract is valued at just under €1 billion.

Operational implementation by the consortium is expected to begin in summer 2026. The service contract will run for 15 years.

The scale and duration of the programme will allow Rheinmetall to expand its local presence, workforce and industrial supply capacity in the United Kingdom. Over the 15-year contract period, the project is expected to secure and create numerous skilled jobs.

The impact will include Rheinmetall Electronics UK’s headquarters on the Isle of Wight and its Southampton site, as well as other strategic locations including Bristol and Warminster, where new employment opportunities will be created.

Omnia Training and its partners will be responsible for integrating and delivering modern simulation systems across live, virtual and constructive training environments. These capabilities are intended to provide the British Army with a more advanced, flexible and digitally enabled collective training system.

As Land Collective Training Partner, Rheinmetall will support the delivery of these capabilities while also managing physical training infrastructure, system configuration and logistics connected to Army Collective Training.
