Oliver Bäte’s Tenure as Allianz SE CEO Extended to 2028

(IN BRIEF) Allianz SE has made notable adjustments to its Board of Management, extending Oliver Bäte’s tenure as Chairman of the Board and CEO until 2028, renewing Andreas Wimmer’s role overseeing Life and Asset Management for five years, and appointing Claire-Marie Coste-Lepoutre as a Board Member effective January 1, 2024. This transition also marks the departure of Giulio Terzariol, who is pursuing a new career opportunity. (PRESS RELEASE) MUNICH, 2-Oct-2023 — /EuropaWire/ —  Allianz SE (ETR: ALV), one of the leading integrated financial services providers worldwide, announces that its Supervisory Board has unveiled several key leadership updates to the Allianz SE Board of Management:

  1. Renewal and Extension of Oliver Bäte‘s Mandate: Oliver Bäte, aged 58, will continue to serve as the Chairman of the Board of Management and CEO of Allianz SE. His mandate has been renewed and extended through the Annual Shareholders Meeting in 2028.
  2. Renewal and Extension of Andreas Wimmer‘s Mandate: Andreas Wimmer, aged 49, responsible for Life and Asset Management, will retain his role as a Member of the Board of Management. His mandate has been renewed and extended for a period of five years.
  3. Appointment of Claire-Marie Coste-Lepoutre: Claire-Marie Coste-Lepoutre, aged 48, presently holding the position of Chief Actuary and Head of Planning & Controlling at Allianz SE, has been appointed as a Member of the Board of Management, effective January 1, 2024, subject to customary regulatory approvals. Her extensive experience includes previous roles as the CFO and deputy CEO of Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty SE.
  4. Transition from Giulio Terzariol: Giulio Terzariol, aged 51, will be stepping down from his role as a member of the Board of Management to pursue a career opportunity outside of the company in his home country. Originally slated for renewal at the end of 2025, Mr. Terzariol’s mandate will conclude early to facilitate a smooth transition of responsibilities. Claire-Marie Coste-Lepoutre has been collaborating closely with Mr. Terzariol to ensure the seamless handover of his duties.
