(PRESS RELEASE) MADRID, 8-Jul-2026 — /EuropaWire/ — HOCHTIEF has been selected by NTT Global Data Centers to construct a new 36 MW data centre campus facility in Berlin, adding to the contractor’s growing pipeline of digital-infrastructure projects.

Construction is scheduled to begin in summer 2026. The first data halls are expected to be handed over in 2028, with the full project due for completion in 2029.

The development will be delivered by an integrated team comprising HOCHTIEF Infrastructure and Dornan, a Turner subsidiary. Turner forms part of the ACS and HOCHTIEF Group.

The project includes a three-storey data centre with 36 MW of capacity, alongside a four-storey office building. HOCHTIEF’s scope covers the complete electrical and mechanical installation package, as well as advanced safety and management systems for the site.

Juan Santamaría, Chief Executive Officer of ACS Group and HOCHTIEF, said the contract reinforces the company’s focus on digital infrastructure as demand for data-centre capacity continues to grow in Germany.

“Germany is experiencing strong, sustained demand for data centre capacity,” Santamaría said. “By combining the capabilities of HOCHTIEF Infrastructure and Dornan, we are well placed to support the continued expansion of the digital infrastructure that underpins economic growth and innovation.”

The new contract further strengthens HOCHTIEF’s position in the data-centre construction segment. In 2025, the company secured €16.8 billion in new data-centre orders, with the sector accounting for 21% of its order backlog.
