Novonesis Biosolutions to Join Rovensa Next Portfolio Across Key US Crop Markets

(IN BRIEF) Rovensa Next and Novonesis have signed a distribution agreement under which Rovensa Next will commercialize select Novonesis plant health biosolutions in the United States beginning with the 2027 growing season. The partnership will expand grower access to science-backed agricultural biologicals across seed treatment, crop nutrition, biostimulation, biocontrol and post-harvest support. Rovensa Next will take direct commercial responsibility for products focused on soybeans, corn, pulses and peanuts, including Optimize, NodPro, Torque, Ratchet, BioniQ, TagTeam, QuickRoots, Cell-Tech and JumpStart, while Actinovate will be distributed for fruit and vegetable crops alongside Rovensa Next’s biocontrol portfolio. Novonesis will continue manufacturing the products and retain selected forage segments, including Optimize and Nitragin products for alfalfa and clover. The agreement strengthens Rovensa Next’s US presence, where the country is now its third-largest market by revenue, and supports Novonesis’ ambition to broaden access to biosolutions through retailers and growers. The deal comes as North America’s agricultural biologicals market is projected to reach around $5.5 billion by 2027.

(PRESS RELEASE) COPENHAGEN, 12-Jun-2026 — /EuropaWire/ — Rovensa Next and Novonesis have signed a distribution agreement that will expand access to agricultural biosolutions for growers in the United States beginning with the 2027 growing season.

Under the agreement, Rovensa Next will commercialize select Novonesis plant health biosolutions in the US, strengthening its portfolio of technologies designed to support productivity, crop resilience and profitability across a broad range of farming systems.

The partnership brings together Novonesis’ long-standing biosolutions expertise with Rovensa Next’s growing US distribution network and broad agricultural input portfolio. The combined offering will include biostimulants, biofertilizers, bionutrition products, biocontrol solutions and adjuvant technologies, enabling more integrated biosolutions programmes from seed treatment through post-harvest.

North America is one of the fastest-growing markets for agricultural biologicals. The market is projected to reach approximately $5.5 billion by 2027, with growth of more than 12% CAGR during the 2023–2027 forecast period, as growers seek science-backed alternatives that can deliver measurable field performance while supporting sustainability goals.

Novonesis has a 130-year history of developing biosolutions for agriculture and will continue manufacturing the products covered by the agreement. The company said the partnership supports its goal of putting more solutions into the hands of retailers and growers.

Rovensa Next has expanded its presence in the United States in recent years through the integration of companies including Oro Agri, Agro-K and Cosmocel. The company now has access to both specialty crop regions and broad-acre markets, supported by a network of regional and national distributors. The United States has become Rovensa Next’s third-largest market by revenue.

For Rovensa Next, the agreement supports its mission to “Biosolutionize Agriculture” by expanding its ability to provide biological crop input solutions across the full crop cycle. The partnership also reflects a broader collaboration model emerging in the biologicals sector, where companies combine complementary technologies and commercial networks to reach growers more effectively.
