NORMA Group to display hose clamps and exhaust clamping technology at SEMA & AAPEX automotive aftermarket shows in Las Vegas

LAS VEGAS, NV, U.S.A., 01-Nov-2016 — /EuropaWire/ — NORMA Group, a global market leader in engineered joining technology, will display products from the Breeze and Torca brands, such as hose clamps and exhaust clamping technology, at the annual SEMA & AAPEX automotive aftermarket shows in Las Vegas on November 1-4.

A global leader in engineering joining technology, the NORMA Group’s recently launched Breeze Super-Seal specialty hose clamps and an easy-to-use Torca Swivel Exhaust Clamp (SEC) kit will be shown at SEMA Booth #20561 and AAPEX Booth #4883. Torca’s AccuSeal, DuraSeal and Coupler exhaust-clamp products also will be displayed.

The company’s Breeze Super-Seal clamps are designed for fluid connections in high-pressure applications using rubber or silicone hoses. Engineered to meet a variety of OEM and aftermarket applications, including coolant and air lines, the clamps feature a high-pressure dual-seal profile. Due to worm-drive closure mechanisms they provide a wide range of adjustability.

Two high-pressure seals around the clamp band’s periphery focus band pressure; create higher radial pressures with the same amount of torque, and prevent leaks under harsh operating conditions and extreme temperature changes. The Breeze Super-Seal clamp has been designed with recessed hardware attachments to better maintain 360-degree lines of sealing as well.

The Breeze Super-Seal’s unique convex-shaped band provides high-spring force resulting in consistent clamp loads during joint contraction and expansion. Offered with or without Belleville washers, it can be used on rubber or silicone hoses in diameters from 36 mm up to 118 mm.

NORMA’s Torca brand has developed a simple-to-use Swivel Exhaust Clamp (SEC) kit that allows technicians and automotive enthusiasts to easily route exhaust pipes to accommodate engine, chassis and exterior body-panel changes. NORMA Group’s patented SEC technology currently is used by a number of automotive manufacturers to route tailpipes through bumpers and rear facia openings.

SEC technology provides an inexpensive solution for difficult to install exhaust-system modifications. Now being available for aftermarket fabricators and do-it-yourself customers not equipped to form the stepped ball and flared ends on exhaust pipes, it eliminates the need for expensive tooling or equipment previously required for the custom alignment of exhaust pipes. The SEC swivel clamp kit allows for adjustments from the catalytic converter to the rear tip of an exhaust pipe and includes a pair of eight-inch 304 SS pipes and an SEC band clamp. Kits are available in three exhaust-pipe-connection sizes: 2.5-inch, 2.75-inch and 3-inch.

The Torca AccuSeal and DuraSeal Band Style exhaust clamps and Couplers are designed for sealing and joint retention in lap-joint exhaust connections and the Torca Coupler is designed for joining same size exhaust pipes & exhaust components without pipe expansion or slotting.

Torca DuraSeal offers improved clamping performance for thicker walled exhaust pipes. The DuraSeal band is made with 304 or 409 stainless steel and available in diameters from 2”-5”.

Torca Coupler speeds assembly of butt-style exhaust pipe connections in diameters from 2.25”-3.50”. The pre-assembled coupler provides a serviceable joint constructed of 409 and 411 stainless steel. Torca Coupler is pre-assembled for rapid and easy installation.
