NLB: Telekom Slovenije d.d. successfully issued EUR 100-million 5-year bonds

Ljubljana, Slovenia, 15-Jun-2016 — /EuropaWire/ — On 10 June 2016, following a successful first sale of bonds, Telekom Slovenije d.d. issued 5-year bonds with the designation TLS1 in the amount of EUR 100 million and with an unchanged interest rate of 1.95% per annum, by means of an entry in the central register of securities at KDD d.d.

After a decision confirming the prospectus for the listing of the bonds for trading on a regulated market has been issued by the Securities Market Agency, TLS1 bonds will be listed on the regulated market of Ljubljanska borza d.d.

In 2016 NLB organised financing for Telekom Slovenije in a total amount of EUR 400 million, through a bond issue and a syndicated loan.

NLB was among the organisers of the most successful issue of corporate bonds in Slovenia to date. Subscription to Telekom Slovenija bonds exceeded the anticipated and final amount of the issue by almost 70%, which indicates the high level of investor confidence in Telekom Slovenije and the development strategy it has laid out. Telekom Slovenije will use the funds obtained through the bond issue to finance investments. In 2016 the Telekom Slovenije Group will spend up to EUR 156 million on investments, which is 38% more than in the previous year.

In March 2016, NLB was also among the organisers of a long-term syndicated loan to Telekom Slovenije in the amount of EUR 300 million, which allowed Telekom Slovenije to guarantee itself ahead of time the necessary liquidity to repay Telekom bonds issued in 2009 that fall due at the end of this year.

This financing in 2016 represents for Telekom Slovenijie significant improvement in the structure of its sources of financing.
