To tackle this issue, Alfa Laval introduced Optiwia™, a straightforward yet powerful system designed to drastically cut water consumption in the separation process. Instead of discarding non-contaminated water, Optiwia™ captures and recycles it. The water collected in an Optiwia™ tank is redirected back into the system, reducing the need for fresh water.

A standout feature of Optiwia™ is its “black box” technology, which tracks and monitors water usage and system performance. By eliminating the waste of clean water, Optiwia™ ensures that all water in the separation phase is efficiently recirculated, resulting in savings of up to 70% on water usage.
