New members of the Board of Directors at European Investment Bank

16-7-2013 — /europawire.eu/ — By letter dated 17 June 2013, the Republic of Malta nominated, by common accord with the Republic of Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, the Republic of Cyprus, Hungary, the Republic of Poland, the Republic of Slovenia and the Slovak Republic:

  • Mr Noel Camilleri (Director General Treasury, Ministry for Finance) for appointment as a Full Member of the Board of Directors of the European Investment Bank
  • Mr Claude G. Cuschieri (Director General Strategy and Operations Support, Ministry for Finance) for appointment as an Alternate Member of the Board of Directors of the European Investment Bank.

By letter dated 20 June 2013, the Board of Governors was invited to vote on the proposed appointment.

The decision to appoint Mr Noel Camilleri and Mr Claude G. Cuschieri was taken on 8 July 2013, the date on which the requisite majority of Governors’ votes was reached.

The terms of office of Mr Noel Camilleri and Mr Claude G. Cuschieri will expire in 2018 at the end of the day either of the Annual Meeting or of the approval of the financial statements for the 2017 financial year, whichever is the later.
