(PRESS RELEASE) BONN, 10-May-2023 — /EuropaWire/ — Deutsche Post DHL Group (ETR: DPW), a German multinational package delivery and supply chain management company, announces that DHL Global Forwarding has unveiled the latest enhancements to its myDHLi customer portal during the third myDHLi Digital Summit, which was broadcast live from the transport logistic trade fair in Munich. The upgraded portal is designed to help customers improve their logistics performance, resilience, and sustainability, even in uncertain times. Since its launch in 2020, over 16,000 customers have used myDHLi to manage their logistics and transportation needs.

“We are living in uncertain times, where our customers are facing different challenges in their transportation needs. Our role as a logistics provider is to manage these uncertainties and complexities and help our customers to maximize their performance, resilience, and sustainability in logistics. Our logistics and digital expertise are bundled in myDHLi and help over 16,000 customers navigate also through uncertain times,” says Tim Scharwath, CEO DHL Global Forwarding, Freight.

One of the main benefits of myDHLi is that it is a one-stop-shop solution that meets customers’ transport and logistics needs on a single digital platform. The central Follow+Share functionality simplifies alignment processes and avoids time-consuming communications flows on the sidelines. To further improve performance, the developer team has incorporated user feedback and explored ways to boost the performance and productivity of customers even further.

The upgraded myDHLi portal includes several new features, such as the myDHLi book service, which allows customers with contracted rates to directly submit a booking via the myDHLi portal in six simple steps. The myDHLi Documents functionalities have also been expanded, and documents can now be uploaded at any time via the recently launched upload feature. The myDHLi Reports service has also been enhanced to include invoice level data, which can be seamlessly combined with operational and sustainability data in fully customizable, schedulable, and sharable reports.

Another key benefit of myDHLi is that it helps build resilience by providing visibility and transparency across three dimensions: environmental impact, costs, and lead times. In combination with the Smart ETA feature launched last year, myDHLi provides excellent shipment visibility, with ocean freight arrival times predicted up to 48% better than the information provided by carriers. The new order visibility option provides an overview of orders and order lines, giving customers a new level of transparency from the overall order (PO) to the individual order lines (SKU), with a seamless link into the related shipment. In case of disruptions, immediate action can be taken, such as shifting the transport mode from Ocean Freight to Air Freight using the Quote + Book functionality of myDHLi.

Sustainability has been an integral part of myDHLi since the myDHLi Digital Summit last year, and the upgraded portal offers even more sustainability features. Customers can easily book the GoGreen Plus service via Quote + Book to reduce the carbon emissions of their shipments with the help of sustainable fuels. The myDHLi Reports service now offers a greater level of detail, allowing users to combine operational data with green data, including carbon footprint and other pollutants such as Nitrogen Oxides (NOx) and Sulfur Oxides (SOx). Together with the GoGreen Dashboard in myDHLi Analytics, customers have comprehensive carbon intelligence at their fingertips, allowing them to see their total footprint, efficiency by mode, and even individual trade lanes. This creates effective transparency around carbon efficiency and informed starting points to drive further individual sustainability agendas.
