(PRESS RELEASE) LONDON, 31-Jul-2023 — /EuropaWire/ — The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), a multilateral developmental investment bank, announces that Neodenim, a small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) based in Morocco, has successfully transitioned to a more energy-efficient and sustainable clothing production process, thanks to the installation of new machines facilitated by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD).

With the EBRD’s support, Neodenim now has the capability to dye and dry clothes while significantly reducing energy, water, and chemical consumption. This transformation has resulted in a more sustainable production of garments, ensuring a safer working environment for their employees and providing customers with eco-friendly clothing options.

The investment is part of the EBRD’s Green Value Chain programme in Morocco, backed by the European Union (EU), the Green Climate Fund (GCF), and the Republic of Korea. The programme aims to provide funding to local partner financial institutions to facilitate lending to Moroccan SMEs, fostering sustainable and environmentally responsible business practices.
