Montagu Private Equity: CliniSys Group acquires the laboratory information system business unit of MCS AG in Germany

LONDON, 20-2-2015 — /EuropaWire/ — The CliniSys Group, the leading supplier in the European market of clinical laboratory information management systems, has today announced that it has acquired the laboratory information system (LIS) business unit of MCS AG, a leading software and consultancy provider for private and public laboratories in Germany and neighbouring countries.

The acquisition will significantly expand the Group’s position in the German market and will enable the Group to offer a broader and deeper range of services and solutions to their customer base across Europe. The CliniSys Group will now have annual revenues in excess of €50 million, and employ more than 350 people at multiple sites. The Group will be supporting over 550 LIS customers with laboratories in over 1,000 locations. This acquisition cements the Group’s leading position across the European laboratory information systems market.
