Metso Launches Upgraded Larox® PF 60 Filter and Expands Machining Capacity in Finland

(IN BRIEF) Metso has unveiled an upgraded version of its Larox® PF 60 pressure filter, designed to improve safety, efficiency, and dewatering capacity for the mining and process industries. The new filter reduces water and oil usage by up to 90% and 75%, respectively, and cuts electric power consumption by 25%. Alongside this, Metso opened a new machining unit at its Filtration Technology Center in Finland, increasing manufacturing capacity and ensuring high-quality, sustainable production. The upgraded pressure filter features advancements in safety, efficiency, and dewatering capacity, catering to the mining and process industries. The fully automated filter is designed to reduce water and oil consumption by up to 90% and 75%, respectively, and cuts electric power usage by 25%, positioning it as a key component of Metso’s Planet Positive portfolio.
