(PRESS RELEASE) WÔRTH AM RHEIN/NUREMBERG, 29-Aug-2024 — /EuropaWire/ — At the GaLaBau 2024 trade fair in Nuremberg, Mercedes-Benz Special Trucks is unveiling three advanced Unimog models designed for a variety of applications in landscaping, road maintenance, agriculture, and construction. These models, presented in collaboration with partners MULAG and BUCHER Municipal, highlight the Unimog’s versatility, cutting-edge safety features, and enhanced operational capabilities.

The Unimog U 430 features the new UNI-TOUCH® operating system and complies with upcoming EU General Safety Regulation (GSR) standards, offering drivers increased safety with features like Sideguard Assist, Frontguard Assist, and a reversing camera. The vehicle is equipped with a front-mounted mower-cutter combination and a spreader, demonstrating its utility in both green maintenance and winter services.

The Unimog U 535, powered by a 260 kW engine, is showcased with ECO mowers from MULAG, making it ideal for gentle green maintenance, particularly in sensitive roadside environments. The U 535’s attachments, including a combination mower and a rear boom with a suction device, are designed to protect insects and plants while efficiently maintaining large areas of greenery.

The Unimog U 327, tailored for winter maintenance, is equipped with a winged snow plow and a Yeti W27 spreader from BUCHER Municipal. This model combines the power and durability of the U 427 with the compactness and maneuverability of the U 319 series, making it a versatile tool for both winter services and year-round transportation tasks.
