MAN holds top position in key global climate protection index compiled by Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP)

Company reaches maximum score in Climate Disclosure Leadership Index

MUNICH, 9-11-2015 — /EuropaWire/ — MAN has received top scores for transparency and measures in fighting climate change and once more holds a top position in the key global climate protection index compiled by the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP).The Company scored the maximum of 100 points in the Climate Disclosure Leadership Index (CDLI). In addition, MAN has been awarded an ‘A minus’ performance rating for the measures it has introduced, the progress it has already made, and the planned strategies for reducing CO2 emissions.

“With a score of ‘100 A minus,’ MAN SE has reached the status of ‘Sector Leader Industrials’ in climate-change reporting for Germany, Austria, and Switzerland in 2015. This ranks MAN among the ten best companies of this industry in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland,” says Susan Dreyer, Director of CDP’s German, Austrian, and Swiss region.

The international non-profit organization CDP publishes its annual report on climate change commissioned by 822 investors with assets worth €86 trillion. More than 5,500 of the world’s companies with almost 800 of them in Europe have disclosed environment-related data via CDP in 2015. Today, the organization holds the largest collection globally of self-reported climate change, water, and forest-risk data. With this data, CDP enables decision-makers to include the factor of natural capital into their decision-making process regarding strategy, business, investment, and policies.
