LondonTown.com: Think.Eat.Drink brings Eco-friendly dining to Kings Cross

Food consultancy turned restaurant T.E.D. does delicious food with added eco-awareness

LONDON, 9-7-2014 — /EuropaWire/ — The latest high profile restaurant opening in buzzing Kings Cross is Think.Eat.Drink (T.E.D.) an exciting concept that focuses on a responsible, eco-friendly approach to food and drink. Originally founded as a food consultancy business T.E.D. has evolved into a bar and restaurant that will serve local, responsibly-sourced food in an environmentally-friendly setting.

T.E.D. founder Jamie Grainger-Smith believes that there is a growing awareness of an eco-friendly, ethical approach to food and drink and T.E.D. aims to put those progressive philosophies into practice by serving British-sourced seasonal food with nutritional benefits through breakfast, lunch and dinner, seven days a week over two floors and 100 covers.

T.E.D. has developed an extensive network of suppliers that are part of an accredited membership scheme and will focus on procuring responsible ingredients to produce dishes like mackerel and seaweed and herb marinated Scottish beef with roasted red pepper, salsa verde and broccoli, which will be complemented by a drinks menu that features biodynamic and carbon-neutral wines as well as organic spirits and cocktails.

The restaurant itself continues the good work by utilising salvaged furniture like reclaimed tiles and up-cycled tables and chairs as well as sustainably sourced fixtures and fittings. However, as with the carefully developed menu, T.E.D. aims to wear its eco-friendly credentials lightly and ensure that the dining experience is as much about eating delicious food in an attractive setting. T.E.D. opens in Kings Cross on July 4th.
