K+S Group announced board and management changes

  • Norbert Steiner to remain chairman of the Board of Executive Directors until May 2017
  • Term of office for Dr. Burkhard Lohr extended until May 2020
  • Gerd Grimmig to retire with effect from 30 September 2014

Kassel, Germany, 21-8-2014 — /EuropaWire/ — Norbert Steiner (59) will remain as chairman of the Board of Executive Directors of K+S Aktiengesellschaft until May 2017 after the Supervisory Board of the Company extended his term of office, which runs until May 2015, by two years at its meeting held today. At the same time, the term of office of Chief Financial Officer Dr. Burkhard Lohr (51) was extended by five years until May 2020.

“We are convinced that over the coming years too, Mr Steiner at the helm of the Board of Executive Directors will continue to successfully drive the development of the K+S Group along with his fellow board members”, said Dr. Ralf Bethke, chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Company.

Following a successful career extending over 32 years, including service as a member of the Board of Executive Directors of K+S Aktiengesellschaft since October 2000, Gerd Grimmig will retire at the age of 61 when his contract expires on 30 September 2014. The Supervisory Board and the Board of Executive Directors express their great thanks and appreciation to Mr Grimmig and wish him all the best for his retirement.

There will be no other changes in the composition of the Board of Executive Directors, of which Dr. Thomas Nöcker, Dr. Andreas Radmacher and Mark Roberts will remain members, and which will see the total number of board members reduced from six to five.
