Komerční banka’s Jistota Foundation helped over 50 health and social projects in 2012

Prague, 18-7-2013 — /europawire.eu/ — Last year, Komerční banka’s Jistota Foundation provided 56 gifts, which were worth more than CZK 7.5 million. In line with the Foundation’s mission, the gifts were mainly routed into projects of a health or social nature.

Foundation continued to replace beds in hospices; in this respect, it successfully cooperated with LINET and Asociace poskytovatelů hospicové paliativní péče [Association of Hospice Palliative Care Providers]. It contributed to the operation and maintenance of baby boxes, the installation of which it had supported in preceding years. The Foundation’s new activity was its involvement in help for organisations of disabled athletes.

The Foundation also works with homes for senior citizens, schools for handicapped children, welfare institutions and long-term care hospitals. It supports Komerční banka’s employees and their family members who tackle difficult problems.

“The Foundation would not have been able to provide these gifts without Komerční banka’s and its employees’ and trade partners’ financial and personal help. All of them deserve great thanks for helping to improve the difficult situation of the beneficiaries and the institutions that take care of them,” said Sylva Floríková, Chairwoman, Board of Trustees, Komerční banka’s Jistota Foundation.

The Nadace Komerční banka’s Jistota Foundation significantly contributes to Komerční banka’s CSR projects. It is one of the top ten corporate foundations in the Czech Republic. Over the past 10 years, it has distributed more than CZK 50 million to the needy.

The Foundation has published a detailed overview of the gifts it provided and the donors in its annual report, which is available on its website at www.nadacejistota.cz.
