Kirill Valeryevich Lipa elected as the new General Director of JSC Transmashholding

MOSCOW, 2-4-2015 — /EuropaWire/ — JSC Transmashholding Board of Directors elected Kirill Valeryevich Lipa as the General Director.

According to the adopted resolution, the new General Director is to get into his office on the 30th of March.

Kirill Lipa was born in 1971 in Moscow; he graduated from the Moscow State Academy of Law. He moved to Transmashholding in December 2007 from the position of the Managing Director of Investment Banking Service Dept. of Uni Credit Aton Company; until now, he filled the position of the Holding’s Board Member. Over the last few years, he was the Chairman of TMH-Service LLC and Zheldorremmash JSC Boards of Directors. These two companies are incorporated into the locomotive service holding company under the leadership of Locomotive Technologies managing company.

Andrey Andreyev who resigns from his position as the General Director has entered this office in 2008 and plans now to take up another post. According to expectations, there will be an announcement regarding the new project he will be involved in.

A note of thanks signed by Vladimir Yakunin, President of JSC Russian Railways, was addressed to Mr. Andreyev. It stressed the major personal role played by the Holding’s head in railway industry development in the Russian Federation. “In the period when you were in the office, the cooperation between the Russian Railways and Transmashholding moved to a new level. This achievement was significantly due to your energy, broad-based knowledge, goodwill and your ability to find common ground with people”, says the RZD Head’s letter in part.

“Andrey Anatolyevich is a man who made Transmashholding to a Top Company capable of handling challenges and competing with leading foreign manufacturers on equal terms”, Iskander Makhmudov, one of the principal Transmashholding’s shareholders said. “He managed to transform the company into a ‘factory of innovations’: over the recent years, the Holding’s plants developed dozens of new sophisticated products, many of which are unique for the Russian industry”.
