Kering announces the appointment of Mehdi Benabadji as CEO of Brioni

(PRESS RELEASE) PARIS, 18-Dec-2019 — /EuropaWire/ — Kering appoints Mehdi Benabadji as CEO of Brioni effective January 1, 2020. He will report to Group Managing Director of Kering, Jean-François Palus.

Since 2003, Mehdi Benabadji has held a series of operational and executive positions within Kering. Most recently, he was in charge of the Group’s logistics and industrial activities as Chief Operations Officer. Having been the director of Strategy and Development of Brioni, following its acquisition by Kering in 2011, he is very familiar with the House. It is now his responsibility to consolidate the repositioning of Brioni and to support its international development.

Mehdi Benabadji succeeds Fabrizio Malverdi, who has decided to leave the Group to pursue a new professional challenge. Kering would like to thank Fabrizio warmly for his commitment and his contribution as CEO of Brioni in recent years.

About Mehdi Benabadji

A graduate of France’s ESSEC Business School, Mehdi Benabadji began his career as a consultant in 1995. He held several positions in luxury Houses for eight years before joining Kering in 2003. Since 2012, he has filled a variety of executive roles, including most recently as Chief Operations Officer, in charge of the Group’s integrated logistics and industrial activities.
