José Placido appointed as Head of Financial Institutions Coverage (FIC) at BNP Paribas CIB

PARIS, 15-6-2015 — /EuropaWire/ — BNP Paribas CIB today announces the appointment of José Placido as Head of Financial Institutions Coverage (FIC), in addition to his existing role as Global Head of Client Development & Strategy for BNP Paribas Securities Services. He succeeds Henri Foch, who retires at the end of June. The appointment, which reinforces the bank’s objective to grow and develop its institutional client segments, is effective as of July 1, 2015.

Yann Gérardin, Global Head of CIB, said: “José will play a key role in continuing to develop close and long-term relationships between BNP Paribas and financial institutions. His appointment reflects our ambition to focus on the needs of institutional clients, providing them with a comprehensive range of solutions to grow their business and adapt to changes in the global financial markets. Prior to joining BNP Paribas Securities Services in 2014, José Placido was CEO of RBC Investor Services and RBC Dexia Investor Services. In his new extended role, he will report to Patrick Colle, CEO of BNP Paribas Securities Services, intuitu personae on behalf of Yann Gérardin.
