UBS – Jeanette Wong and William C. Dudley nominated for election to the Board of Directors of UBS Group AG

(PRESS RELEASE) ZURICH/BASEL, 26-Feb-2019 — /EuropaWire/ — Jeanette Wong and William C. Dudley have been nominated by the UBS Board of Directors for election to the Board of UBS Group AG. The election will be held at the Annual General Meeting of shareholders on 2 May 2019.

Current board members Ann F. Godbehere and Michel Demaré are not standing for re-election to the Board of Directors of UBS Group AG due to reaching their 10-year term limit. They have both decided to retire after serving the board since 2009.

Jeanette Wong has spent over 30 years within the financial industry in Singapore working in different senior management roles.

Her career begun in 1982 with Banque Paribas and Citibank. Then she helped to build up JP Morgan’s Asia and emerging markets business over a sixteen year career with the firm.

Most recently, Jeanette Wong (1960) served as group executive responsible for the Institutional Banking business at the DBS Group in Singapore. Prior to that position, she was a CFO of DBS Group between 2003 and 2008.

Jeanette Wong holds an MBA from the University of Chicago and a BA in Business Administration from the National University of Singapore.

Jeanette Wong is one of the most influential voices in the Singaporean financial industry and an acknowledged female leader in APAC. She has also been recognized for leading the transformation of the institutional banking business of DBS.

William Dudley

William Dudley

William Dudley, 1953, has been the CEO of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York (NY FED) for nearly a decade, 2009 – 2018. In that capacity, he served as the vice chairman and a permanent member of the Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC).

Prior to that, William Dudley was an executive VP of the Markets Group at the NY FED and Head Markets Group. Before joining the NY FED, William Dudley was a partner and managing director and senior economist at Goldman Sachs.

In 2012, William Dudley was also appointed chairman of the Committee on the Global Financial System of the Bank for International Settlements (BIS). He served as chairman of the former Committee on Payment and Settlement Systems of the BIS from 2009 to 2012 and was a member of the Board of Directors of the BIS.

William Dudley will bring outstanding expertise on economic, regulatory and monetary policy issues to the UBS Group AG Board as well as first hand business experience in financial services.
