ISS and Telenor sign Nordic IFS contract

Telenor, a leading international provider of tele, data and media communication services, and ISS, a leading global provider of facility services, have entered into a strategic partnership.

13-12-2012 — /europawire.eu/ — Telenor, a leading international provider of tele, data and media communication services, and ISS, a leading global provider of facility services, have entered into a strategic partnership where ISS will be delivering Integrated Facility Services (IFS) to most of Telenor’s operations throughout the Nordic countries.

The new contract, signed with Telenor Real Estate, includes delivery of property and support services, cleaning, catering, security as well as facility management to more than 5,000 offices, buildings and telecommunications installations in the Nordic countries.

The five-year contract is one of the most complex IFS contracts in the Nordic countries and it is one of the biggest in the Nordic market in terms of contract value and scope.

“We are very excited that Telenor Real Estate, on behalf of Telenor Group, has selected ISS as its strategic partner to deliver this broad range of facility services throughout the Nordic region. For some years, we have delivered various services like property and cleaning services to Telenor, but the new agreement is a significant expansion of our partnership including a broad IFS scope in Norway, Sweden and Denmark. We are very much looking forward to further develop the partnership and work with Telenor to enhance the value of their strategic sourcing policy,” said Troels Bjerg, Regional CEO Nordic & Eastern Europe, ISS.

“ISS has built a strong global and Nordic platform from which we can integrate and self-deliver a complete set of facility services like property services, catering, cleaning, support services and security. This offering is particularly relevant for customers looking for consistent, compliant and transparent service delivery across several countries and sites. ISS has close to 45,000 employees in the Nordic countries,” Bjerg continued.

“With this partnership we are pushing the traditional boundaries within the facility management industry in the Nordic countries. When we launched the tendering process, it was important to Telenor Real Estate to find a partner, with the right capabilities and mindset. We are not only interested in consistent and very high standards but also in finding a partner that will continuously work closely with Telenor and Telenor Real Estate in taking our service delivery to the next level,” said Kenneth Johnsen, CEO of Telenor Real Estate.
