ING Recognised by Euromoney for Customer-Focused Retail Banking and Corporate Banking Strength

(IN BRIEF) ING has received 13 awards at the Euromoney Awards for Excellence 2026, including three major global and regional recognitions: Europe’s Best Retail Bank, World’s Best Bank for Mortgages/Home Loans and Europe’s Best Bank for Large Corporates. The awards recognise ING’s work in retail banking, where it serves 41 million customers across nine markets, and in wholesale banking, where it supports large corporate clients in more than 100 countries. ING also received country and specialist awards in Poland, the Netherlands, Germany, Spain and South Korea, covering areas including ESG, sustainable finance, customer experience, mortgages and corporate banking.

The bank also received a series of national and specialist awards across several markets, including Poland, the Netherlands, Germany, Spain and South Korea.

In Retail Banking, ING said its focus remains on making banking faster, simpler and more intuitive for its 41 million customers across nine markets.

In Wholesale Banking, ING was named Europe’s Best Bank for Large Corporates, recognising the bank’s work with clients in more than 100 countries.

ING said the award reflects its role in helping large corporate clients navigate changing markets, identify opportunities and transition toward a more sustainable economy.

Ljiljana Čortan, Head of Wholesale Banking at ING, said the recognition reflects the trust clients place in the bank and the dedication of its Wholesale Banking teams.

The Euromoney Awards for Excellence were established in 1992 and are among the global banking industry’s longest-running awards programmes.

In total, ING received 13 awards at the 2026 edition.

At global and regional level, ING was recognised as World’s Best Bank for Mortgages/Home Loans, Europe’s Best Retail Bank, Europe’s Best Bank for Large Corporates and Europe’s Best Bank for Mortgages/Home Loans.

At country and specialist level, ING was named Poland’s Best Bank, Poland’s Best Bank for ESG, Poland’s Best Bank for Sustainable Finance, Germany’s Best Bank for ESG, The Netherlands’ Best Bank, The Netherlands’ Best Bank for Corporates, Spain’s Best Bank for Customer Experience, Spain’s Best Bank for Mortgages/Homeowners and South Korea’s Best Bank for Sustainable Finance.

The awards highlight ING’s performance across retail banking, mortgage lending, wholesale banking, sustainable finance, ESG, corporate banking and customer experience.
