MUNICH, 14-1-2016 — /EuropaWire/ — BurdaInternational, a division of Germany-based Hubert Burda Media has acquired Jacobsen Publications. The company is the leading crafts publisher in the Nordics, with successful sewing- and knitting titles in Denmark, Sweden, Norway and Finland.
“Jacobsen Publications is the perfect fit to our company. The acquisition allows us to expand to a very interesting region and to further strengthen our competence in crafting. Jacobsen uses their large database of previous and current subscribers for activities such as a successful trade show within handicraft with over 100 exhibitors and over 9000 visitors. It is also actively expanding its digital assets with investing in the Swedish pattern-platform “TopPatterns.com”.

BurdaInternational and Jacobsen Publications have been partners since 2010 with Jacobsen publishing the world’s leading crafting magazine Burda Style in the region. Jacobsen’s premium content as well as production and other competences will now be put to use in other BurdaInternational markets along with theBurda Style brand. BurdaInternational will explore possibilities for expanding the portfolio in the region to segments such as food and gardening.
