HMB Construction to Oversee SEK 560 Million Expansion of Ahlsell Distribution Centre in Hallsberg

(IN BRIEF) HMB Construction, part of AF Gruppen Sweden, has secured a SEK 560 million contract to expand Ahlsell’s distribution center in Hallsberg, where Ahlsell Sverige AB is the tenant. The project includes the addition of 37,000 square meters of warehouse space, a new restaurant with a rooftop terrace, office and locker room refurbishments, and other upgrades. The work is set to begin in June 2025 and is expected to be completed by March 2027.

(PRESS RELEASE) OSLO, 28-May-2025 — /EuropaWire/ — HMB Construction, a subsidiary of AF Gruppen Sweden, has entered into an agreement with Förvaltningsbolaget Nordhall Handelsbolag for the large-scale expansion of Ahlsell’s distribution center in Hallsberg, where Ahlsell Sverige AB operates as the tenant. The contract is valued at approximately SEK 560 million, excluding VAT.

This extensive project will be executed under a collaborative contract, with HMB Construction overseeing the construction process. The expansion plan includes a significant increase in warehouse capacity, adding approximately 37,000 square meters of space. Key components of the development include three floors of picking mezzanines, a new standalone restaurant with a rooftop terrace covering about 1,700 square meters, and renovations of office spaces and locker rooms totaling around 3,300 square meters. Additionally, the project involves modifications to the existing pipe hall and upgrades to the entry and exit points of the area.
