(PRESS RELEASE) DÜSSELDORF, 2-Sep-2025 — /EuropaWire/ — Henkel has taken another step toward measurable sustainability by optimizing its hot melt adhesive Technomelt Supra 130 Cool, delivering the same trusted bonding performance with a significantly smaller carbon footprint. Now produced with a minimum 20% reduction in CO₂ emissions measured across the entire cradle-to-gate value chain, the adhesive provides customers with a more sustainable solution without requiring any changes in application or logistics.

Technomelt Supra 130 Cool, widely used in carton, tray, and folding box packaging across food and non-food industries, retains its original formulation to ensure full performance and food safety. The reduction in emissions was achieved through strategic partnerships with suppliers who replace fossil fuels with renewable resources and integrate energy-efficient technologies into existing processes. By using these low-emission raw materials at all relevant production sites in Europe, Henkel ensures that every customer benefits from the improved sustainability profile.

Guided by the principle “Same bond. Smaller footprint.”, Henkel supports its customers in meeting their sustainability goals while maintaining supply continuity and product reliability. Kathrin Hein, Vice President Consumer Goods EIMEA at Henkel, explained: “A reduction in CO₂e emissions across our supply chains is a key step toward lower-emission industrial adhesives. We’re setting new standards for a more sustainable packaging industry and enabling our customers to meet their sustainability targets.”

Henkel will continue to expand this approach, with additional optimized products from its existing adhesive portfolio set to launch next year. The company will also showcase its sustainable packaging adhesive solutions at Fachpack 2025, Hall 1, Booth 153, from September 23 to 25.
