GRAHAM selected for Pagabo 10 billion national framework through a rigorous OJEU compliant tender process

(PRESS RELEASE) Hillsborough, UK, 15-Jan-2020 — /EuropaWire/ — GRAHAM announced it has been selected through a rigorous OJEU compliant tender process for Pagabo’s £10 billion national framework for major works. The expected value of Pagabo Major Works Framework will be in the £2 billion to £10 billion range within the next 6 years during which is the framework duration.

During the current tender GRAHAM was awarded the following lots across the UK: lot 1 £5m – £15m in Scotland and Northern Ireland, with a reserve position in North England. Lot 2 £15m – £30m in Scotland, Northern Ireland and North England, with reserve positions in the Midlands, London and South East regions of England as well as lot 3 £30m+ in Scotland, Northern Ireland and the North, Midlands, London and South East regions of England. Successful completion will enable GRAHAM to build on its existing position on Pagabo’s Medium Value and Refit and Refurbishment Frameworks.

Pagabo Major Works Framework is open to all public and private sector organisations and the current tender is the second iteration which is slated to launch in April 2020. The framework is divided into three project value bands covering seven UK regions and includes a core and reserve list of contractors.

To become a part of Pagabo’s Major Works Framework contractors have gone through a rigorous OJEU compliant tender process and the contestants have been required to prove strong finances, relevant experience and align with Pagabo’s vision for social value, supporting SMEs, and technology.

In general, Pagabo allows six core contractors for each geographical lot in every region across the UK. In addition to those core contractors, three reserve contractors are named meant to supplement the procurement process in each lot and region respectively.

During the framework’s first four-year iteration high-profile projects have been delivered to nationally prominent organisations such as Liverpool John Moores University, St Albans District Council, Richmond upon Thames College, Merseyside Police, Birmingham Symphony Hall, National Royal Orthopaedic Hospital and Doncaster Council.

Commenting on the Major Works Framework and the response of contractors, Jason Stapley, managing director at Pagabo said:

“We were delighted by the number of contractors responding to the tender. The first iteration of the Major Works Framework has seen double digit growth year on year, since its inception in 2016. In 2019 alone, we’ve delivered £833m worth of construction projects for the public sector up and down the country.

“We believe its success is down to our customer-focused approach; we’ve made it our mission to simplify the commissioning process with technology and innovation, we place social value at the heart of everything we do and ensure full flexibility, OJEU compliance and greater choice for everyone wanting to use the framework.

“Contractors have recognised this and clearly appreciate this forward-thinking approach. To date, we’ve delivered more than £2 billion of social value across the country and we are investing more than £1 million into technology.”

Keith Hayes, GRAHAM’s National Framework Director, commented on securing these positions on the Major Works Framework for Pagabo:

“We are delighted to secure these positions on the Major Works Framework for Pagabo and look forward to continuing to work with them to deliver successful projects for their clients. This win further supports GRAHAM’s growth across collaborative frameworks nationally and aligns solidly with our company values to build long-term client relationships and make a difference through social value.”
