GRAHAM Building North Aims to Raise £20,000 with Charity Skydive for Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity

(IN BRIEF) GRAHAM Building North is partnering with Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity to raise funds, with a team of 20 employees participating in a charity skydive this August. Nearly £4,000 has been raised toward their £20,000 target, which will fund mobile sensory units for young patients at Scotland’s largest children’s hospital. This initiative is part of a series of fundraising activities, including a £10,000 donation and a festive event that raised an additional £600. The company’s efforts reflect a strong commitment to supporting the charity’s work and improving the lives of children and families in need.

(PRESS RELEASE) HILLSBOROUGH, 13-Jan-2024 — /EuropaWire/ — GRAHAM Building North is marking its ongoing charity partnership with Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity with an exciting team challenge. A group of 20 daring staff members will take part in a charity skydive in Auchterarder this August, with nearly £4,000 already raised toward their ambitious £20,000 fundraising goal. The funds raised will go toward providing mobile sensory units for Scotland’s largest children’s hospital, enhancing the experiences of young patients and their families during difficult hospital stays.

This skydive is just one part of GRAHAM’s broader fundraising efforts. In December, the company made a £10,000 donation to the charity, alongside hosting festive events such as a Christmas Jumper Day, bake sale, tombola, and a “guess the sweets in the jar” competition, which raised an additional £600. GRAHAM employees also contributed to Santa’s Grotto at the hospital, volunteering as elves to spread holiday cheer to the children and families.

William McGowan, Head of Partnerships at Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity, visited GRAHAM’s Glasgow office in December to explain how vital donations are for supporting the charity’s work. He shared how the funds help provide life-changing equipment, services, and research to improve the lives of children and their families.

“We rely on the support and generosity of our donors, fundraisers, and partners to fund life-changing equipment and support services at Scotland’s busiest children’s hospital,” said William. “We’re thrilled to be collaborating with GRAHAM Building North to support children and families during their most challenging moments.”

Earlier in their partnership, GRAHAM employees from different regions came together for an inter-divisional football tournament in Northern Ireland, where Building North celebrated a silver plate victory, raising £1,300 for the cause.

Chris MacLeod, Regional Director at GRAHAM, expressed his enthusiasm about the collaboration, stating, “This partnership showcases our commitment to supporting the incredible work of Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity. We’re excited to continue working together to raise vital funds and raise awareness about the amazing services they provide to children and families facing tough times.”

The charity skydive is set to be a thrilling highlight of the year, blending adrenaline and philanthropy to help GRAHAM reach—and perhaps surpass—its £20,000 target. Looking beyond the skydive, the team remains committed to continued involvement, with plans to assist with Easter decorations at the hospital later this year.
