GasTerra announces the appointment of Annie Krist as new CEO

She succeeds Gertjan Lankhorst who resigned from this position on 1 January.

GRONINGEN, 28-Feb-2017 — /EuropaWire/ — The General Meeting of Shareholders of GasTerra has appointed Annie Krist (57) as CEO of GasTerra. She succeeds Gertjan Lankhorst who resigned from this position on 1 January. Annie Krist is currently CEO of Gasunie Transport Services (GTS) and, in that capacity, also a member of Gasunie’s Board of Directors. The appointment will be effective from 1 April 2017.

Annie Krist started her career in 1987 in Gasunie’s marketing department. She then carried out a number of commercial duties within Gasunie’s trading arm. During this period, she was in charge of the account management teams who are responsible for the energy companies, other industrial undertakings and foreign customers. In 2005, in the context of gas market liberalisation, Gasunie was divided into a gas infrastructure company (Gasunie) and an independent trading company (GasTerra). In the same year, Annie joined the management team of GTS, the part of Gasunie that is responsible for gas transmission in the Netherlands.

From 2008 to 2011, she was the Director for Strategy and Participations at Gasunie. On 1 July 2011, Annie was appointed as CEO of GTS. She is also a member of the board of Netbeheer Nederland and represents GTS in ENTSOG, the European association of gas transmission companies. She has been a member of Gasunie’s Board of Directors since 1 May 2016.

Annie studied geography at the University of Groningen. She is married and has two sons.
