FrieslandCampina guaranteed price for raw milk for February 2015 is 31.50 euros per 100 kilogrammes

Amersfoort, the Netherlands, 3-2-2015 — /EuropaWire/ — The FrieslandCampina guaranteed price for raw milk for February 2015 is 31.50 euros per 100 kilogrammes of milk. The guaranteed price is 1.25 euros higher than in January 2015 (30.25 euros).

Milk prices of most reference companies are expected to stabilize or rise slightly in February as a result of the upward price trend of foil cheeses, milk powders and butter. The weak euro helps to increase exports of European dairy products.

Globally the milk supply stabilizes because of a decreasing supply of raw milk in Western Europe due to impending quota violations and because of increasing drought in Australia and New Zealand. This results in a balance in the worldwide demand and supply of milk.

The protein price in February 2015 is 514.20 euros, the fat price is 257.10 euros and the lactose price is 51.42 euros per 100 kilogrammes.

Guaranteed price per month
The guaranteed price applies to 100 kilogrammes of milk with a protein content of 3.47%, a fat content of 4.41% and a lactose content of 4.51% and is exclusive of VAT. The amounts shown apply to an average supply of 600,000 kilogrammes of milk annually.
