Fresenius Medical Care Adds Cloud-Based Analytics Capability to NxView 4.0 Platform

(IN BRIEF) Fresenius Medical Care has introduced TherapyWise™, a cloud-based analytics capability available within NxView™ 4.0, its FDA 510(k)-cleared software platform for use with the NxStage® System One™ in the United States. TherapyWise provides retrospective, programme-level insight into kidney replacement therapy delivered in acute and hospital critical care settings. It aggregates existing therapy and device data to help identify trends in workflow interruptions, alarm frequency, therapy variability and programme performance. The platform is intended to support hospital and clinical leaders in reviewing kidney replacement therapy delivery across ICU units and time periods. Fresenius Medical Care emphasised that TherapyWise is not intended for real-time, patient-specific clinical decision-making, which remains the responsibility of attending clinicians.

(PRESS RELEASE) BAD HOMBURG, 20-Jul-2026 — /EuropaWire/ — Fresenius Medical Care has introduced TherapyWise™, a cloud-based analytics capability designed to provide retrospective, programme-level insight into kidney replacement therapy delivered in acute and hospital critical care settings.

TherapyWise is available within NxView™ 4.0, Fresenius Medical Care’s FDA 510(k)-cleared software platform for use with the NxStage® System One™ in the United States.

The new analytics capability aggregates existing therapy and device data to help hospital and clinical teams identify trends related to workflow interruptions, alarm burden and variability in therapy delivery.

Fresenius Medical Care, a leading global provider of products and services for people with renal diseases, said kidney replacement therapy in intensive care units generates large volumes of clinical and operational data.

However, without standardised metrics and aggregated views, it can be difficult for hospital teams to assess patterns in therapy delivery, interruptions to workflow and alarm frequency.

TherapyWise consolidates existing data generated at the point of care and presents longitudinal summaries intended to support oversight of kidney replacement therapy programmes across ICU units and time periods.

Joe Turk, Chief Executive Officer of Care Enablement at Fresenius Medical Care, said digital solutions are playing a growing role in how critical care teams understand and manage complex therapies.

“TherapyWise reflects our continued focus on innovation in critical care by applying data analytics,” said Turk.

He added that the platform helps hospital and clinical leaders gain visibility into how kidney replacement therapy is delivered across their organisations, supporting informed discussions around workflow, consistency and quality improvement.

TherapyWise securely transmits data from the NxStage System One with NxView to a cloud-based platform, where the information is aggregated and displayed across predefined performance indicators.

These indicators include programme-level metrics such as average delivered dose compared with set dose, average treatment time per cartridge and alarm frequency trends.

The software is intended to support retrospective review and programme oversight. It is not designed for real-time, patient-specific clinical decision-making, which remains the responsibility of attending clinicians.

TherapyWise forms part of Fresenius Medical Care’s NxView 4.0 software platform and wider critical care portfolio.

The company said its critical care offering combines digital infrastructure, clinical expertise and secure data management to support hospital teams responsible for kidney replacement therapy programmes.
