(PRESS RELEASE) MILAN, 18-May-2024 — /EuropaWire/ — Applications are open until 21st May for “Welfare, che impresa!”, a call for proposals promoted by Fondazione Snam in collaboration with Fondazione Italiana Accenture ETS, Fondazione Conad ETS, Intesa Sanpaolo, and Fondazione Peppino Vismara. Launched in 2017 and now in its eighth edition, this initiative seeks the best social entrepreneurship projects promoted by organisations capable of generating a positive impact through their activities. These projects invest their expertise in areas such as inclusive welfare and fighting inequalities, health and care for individuals, cultural welfare, urban regeneration and enhancement of inner areas, combating poverty (energy, educational, and food), and fostering an equitable and inclusive environmental transition.

“Welfare, che impresa” offers young social entrepreneurs the opportunity to acquire new skills to improve their project capabilities through a comprehensive training programme including:

  • Online insights on topics such as social impact, business planning, and fundraising
  • A two-day in-person training workshop
  • Mentorship activities aimed at improving and enhancing the structure of the submitted project

The objective is to promote innovative projects that consider community needs and combat the growth of inequalities; to stimulate youth and female social entrepreneurship initiatives; to encourage network and multistakeholder initiatives capable of producing tangible benefits for the community; and to foster project development aimed at generating social impact. In September, up to four winners will be selected, each receiving a non-repayable grant of €20,000. All winning projects will also gain access to an individual and personalised mentorship programme provided by partner incubators, a loan of up to €50,000 at favourable conditions provided by Intesa Sanpaolo, and a current account with favourable terms for 36 months, including a debit card with no monthly fee.
