FLS Signs Lifecycle Agreement With Lloyds Metals and Energy to Support Mining Operations in India

(IN BRIEF) FLSmidth (FLS) has signed a lifecycle agreement with Lloyds Metals and Energy Limited (LMEL) covering the full FLS equipment flowsheet across LMEL’s mining operations in India. The agreement includes a dedicated on-site FLS team, customised maintenance, continuous training and operational readiness programmes, and on-site management of consumables and spare parts, all aimed at improving equipment uptime, reliability and long-term performance as LMEL expands its production and processing capacity. The companies are also developing a state-of-the-art repair centre to bring advanced servicing capabilities closer to LMEL’s installed equipment base. The agreement builds on multiple orders placed with FLS during the past two years and strengthens the companies’ long-term partnership in India’s growing mining sector.

(PRESS RELEASE) COPENHAGEN, 3-Sep-2026 — /EuropaWire/ — FLSmidth (FLS) has signed a lifecycle agreement with Lloyds Metals and Energy Limited (LMEL), one of India’s leading iron ore mining and metals processing companies, strengthening a partnership developed through a series of equipment orders over the past two years.

The value of the agreement has not been disclosed.

The agreement covers the full FLS equipment flowsheet across LMEL’s mining operations and represents a further step in FLS’ strategy to establish long-term customer partnerships throughout the Indian subcontinent.

FLS said the agreement reflects its approach of supporting customers across the complete lifecycle of their operations, with a focus on equipment availability, reliability and long-term asset performance.

FLS and LMEL to develop advanced repair centre

As part of the broader partnership, FLS and LMEL are also developing a state-of-the-art repair centre.

The facility will bring advanced repair and service capabilities closer to LMEL’s installed equipment base, enabling faster response times and supporting improved equipment availability.

FLS said the repair centre will also contribute to stronger long-term asset performance as LMEL continues to expand its mining and processing operations.

The lifecycle agreement follows several orders placed by Lloyds Metals with FLS during the past two years and reflects the continued development of the relationship between the two companies.

Supporting expansion at India’s largest single iron ore mine

LMEL operates what FLS describes as the single largest iron ore mine in India and is currently significantly expanding its production and processing capacity.

The lifecycle agreement is designed to support this growth while promoting operational excellence and the responsible development of India’s mining industry.

The partnership includes a dedicated on-site FLS team and a customised maintenance programme aligned with LMEL’s operational requirements.

FLS will also provide a continuous learning programme intended to support long-term workforce development and upskilling.

This includes operational readiness training as LMEL expands its production capabilities.

On-site support for consumables and spare parts

The agreement also provides for the on-site management of consumables and spare parts.

By combining maintenance, training, service expertise and parts management, the lifecycle programme is intended to maximise equipment uptime and reliability as LMEL’s operations increase in scale.

Alanas Kraujalis, interim President of the Service Business Line at FLS, said the agreement reflects the trust LMEL has placed in FLS as a long-term partner.

He said the partnership demonstrates the expertise of FLS teams and the value of the company’s lifecycle approach for mining customers.

Kraujalis added that FLS looks forward to working closely with LMEL to maintain equipment performance, support the company’s growth and contribute to the continued advancement of the Indian mining industry.
