Fiat at 81st Interpol General Assembly

Turin, 8-11-2012 — /europawire.eu/ — Fiat Group, with companies in 44 countries and 155 factories worldwide, has a longstanding relationship with international law enforcement. Continuing in that tradition, Fiat will be an Official Sponsor of Interpol’s 81st General Assembly to be held at the Hilton hotel in Rome from the 5th to the 8th of November 2012.

The event is to be attended by more than 1,000 delegates, including home affairs ministers from some 100 of a total 190 Interpol member countries. Fiat will provide a fleet of 140 vehicles representing the Group’s entire model range. From the newly launched Fiat 500L, to the Fiat Freemont, Bravo, Punto, Ducato and Scudo, the Lancia Thema, Voyager and Delta, the Jeep Compass and Grand Cherokee, the Alfa Romeo Giulietta and the Maserati Quattroporte. All of the vehicles will bear the official logo for the event.

Some new models (including the 500L and armored Thema B4) will be exhibited at the Hilton hotel and Villa Miani, where the gala evening is to be held (a Ferrari F1 singleseater will also be on display), together with several other models (Freemont, Sedici, Bravo, Punto) bearing the liveries of various Italian law enforcement agencies.

Inside the Hilton hotel and Villa Miani, there will also be stands with information on the Group’s various products.

Fiat has a long history of collaboration with top-level organizations in Italy and abroad, and is frequently an active participant at major events. Last year, for example, it participated in the Armed Forces parade in Rome on June 2nd, providing 70 Fiat Freemonts that were used to transport foreign delegations and Heads of State. In 2009, it was a sponsor of the G8 summit in L’Aquila, supplying 221 passenger cars, electric and off-road vehicles, commercial vehicles and buses. On that occasion, Executive versions of the Lancia Delta were used to transport government officials and diplomats. The Lancia Delta was also the Official Car of the 9th World Summit of Nobel Peace Laureates held in Paris in December 2008.
