(PRESS RELEASE) LEINFELDEN-ECHTERDINGEN, 5-Nov-2024 — /EuropaWire/ — Swedish logistics company Falkenklev Logistik has expanded its electric fleet by introducing six FUSO eCanter trucks for urban deliveries, specifically for DHL operations in Malmö and the surrounding Skåne region. Supplied by Veho Import AB, the 8.55-tonne electric trucks are ideal for city distribution, combining compact design with a capacity for 15 pallets, allowing Falkenklev to efficiently manage short-range deliveries in stop-and-go traffic while reducing emissions.

Falkenklev Logistik CEO, Victor Falkenklev, sees the transition as part of a broader commitment to sustainable practices. Already equipped with Sweden’s largest heavy-vehicle charging station and a solar-powered energy system, the company aims to create a “Green Circle” by powering its electric fleet with self-generated renewable energy. Falkenklev’s vision includes expanding the charging infrastructure, investing in more electric trucks, and exploring energy storage and grid-stabilization benefits from its fleet.

Veho Import AB, the distributor of FUSO trucks in Sweden, is confident in the eCanter’s success in the market. Plans are in place to showcase the eCanter at various trade events across Sweden, where the vehicle’s potential for eco-friendly, efficient urban distribution has already attracted considerable interest.
