EY announces the appointment of Dennis Layton as Global Deputy Leader of People Advisory Services

LONDON, 23-Mar-2017 — /EuropaWire/ — EY announces the appointment of Dennis Layton as EY Global Deputy Leader of People Advisory Services (PAS), effective 1 April 2017. Based in London, Layton will be responsible for driving the success of the EY PAS strategy that contributes to Vision 2020 and its objective to make EY the leading global professional services organization by 2020.

Layton joins EY from McKinsey & Company, where he was the leader of the organization’s practice in the UK and Ireland and a leader of the EMEA Performance Transformation practice. In these roles, Layton helped industry-leading technology, financial services, defense and health care companies and portfolios achieve improvements in their financial performance and organizational health. He also developed the firm’s cybersecurity assessment model.

Layton also led McKinsey’s Global Diversity Practice, convened the organization’s quarterly Chief HR Officer roundtable events and directed widely published research, including Management in Healthcare: Why good practice really matters and Diversity Matters. His latest research looked at the next generation of performance management approaches and assessed the culture and risk of leading financial institutions.

Chris Price, EY Global Leader of People Advisory Services, says:

“Dennis can help drive our continued focus on growing our core offerings and approach to services while continuing to provide exceptional client service. His deep knowledge of the chief human resources officer community and people services market, coupled with his proven strengths in consulting, sales management and leading high-performing teams, positions him well to move EY PAS forward.”

Layton says: “Becoming a global leader of EY People Advisory Services is an incredible opportunity. I’m looking forward to building upon the approaches to people and performance transformation that I’ve been focused on throughout my career and helping an even broader set of clients.”

Prior to McKinsey & Company, Layton served as the World Wide Executive for IBM’s Product Lifecycle Management OnDemand offering and as part of the multidisciplinary team that led the turnaround strategy for IBM’s outsourcing business. He served in the U.S. Navy and at the Executive Office of the President at the White House, where he worked with the negotiating team that created the foundation for the Free Trade Area of the Americas. Layton holds a degree in Sociology from Georgetown University.
