Expanded Partnership Between DSV and UNICEF to Enhance Access to Critical Supplies for Children in Crisis

(IN BRIEF) DSV has expanded its partnership with UNICEF to enhance emergency support for children worldwide. This collaboration will increase the number of in-kind flights, providing quicker and more efficient access to essential supplies in crisis zones. The two organizations have already facilitated over 85 tonnes of life-saving aid since September 2024. The enhanced partnership strengthens their commitment to responding to emergencies and ensuring timely access to supplies for vulnerable children, contributing to both short-term relief and long-term humanitarian goals.

(PRESS RELEASE) HEDEHUSENE, 26-May-2025 — /EuropaWire/ — DSV and UNICEF have strengthened their collaboration to enhance their ability to provide essential aid during emergencies. This expanded partnership aims to facilitate the faster delivery of life-saving supplies to children in need, ensuring that support reaches those who require it most. The two organizations have been working together for over a year on a three-year agreement, and with this expansion, DSV will provide even more in-kind flights to UNICEF during critical situations.

This extension of their partnership underscores the importance of humanitarian action and builds on their shared objective of improving supply chains for global emergency response. It represents a powerful initiative that addresses both immediate needs and the long-term sustainability of global supply networks, helping children worldwide, especially in emergencies.

UNICEF’s Director of Private Fundraising and Partnerships, Carla Haddad Mardini, highlighted the value of partnerships in saving children’s lives, stating, “Our partnership with DSV has been instrumental in providing timely support that helps us reach vulnerable children in need.” Since September 2024, DSV has facilitated the transport of more than 85 tonnes of essential supplies to seven countries, including a key airlift to Lebanon in response to its 2024 crisis, as well as the delivery of 30 tonnes of medical supplies to the Democratic Republic of the Congo during the mpox outbreak.

The expanded agreement will allow DSV to continue leveraging its expertise, industry capabilities, and extensive global network to support UNICEF’s humanitarian missions. This ensures that life-saving resources are distributed effectively, overcoming logistical challenges even in the most remote areas.

“By combining our resources and capabilities with UNICEF’s mission, we are able to deliver essential supplies quickly and efficiently to those in need,” said Jens H. Lund, Group CEO of DSV. With these enhanced efforts, DSV and UNICEF are committed to ensuring that children affected by crises have access to the critical supplies they need, precisely when they need them most.
