(PRESS RELEASE) HAMBURG, 2-Jan-2026 — /EuropaWire/ — Evotec SE has introduced a newly created executive leadership position that brings together Global Communications and Investor Relations, underscoring the company’s intent to sharpen strategic messaging and reinforce alignment with key stakeholders. Effective immediately, Dr. Sarah Fakih has been appointed Executive Vice President, Head of Global Communications and Investor Relations.

Based in Hamburg, Dr. Fakih will oversee the combined global function and report directly to Chief Executive Officer Dr. Christian Wojczewski. By unifying communications and investor relations under a single leadership structure, Evotec aims to ensure a more coherent and consistent narrative around its corporate strategy, scientific capabilities, and long-term value creation.

The move follows the departure of Volker Braun, who led Evotec’s Investor Relations and ESG activities for the past five years. During his tenure, the company strengthened its engagement with the investment community and advanced transparency across environmental, social, and governance topics.

Commenting on the appointment, Dr. Wojczewski emphasized the importance of trusted and precise communication as Evotec continues to execute its strategic priorities. He highlighted Dr. Fakih’s broad background spanning scientific expertise, capital markets, and corporate communications as key strengths that position her well to lead the integrated function, while also expressing appreciation for Mr. Braun’s contributions and wishing him success in his next chapter.

Dr. Fakih brings more than 15 years of experience in the life sciences sector, having held senior leadership roles at several U.S.-listed companies, including QIAGEN, MorphoSys, and most recently CureVac. She holds a PhD in Chemistry and is recognized for her work in shaping capital markets strategy and corporate messaging within complex, science-driven organizations.
