European Commissioner Corina Cretu to attend EBN’s 2015 Annual Congress, 28-30 October in the Albert Hall, Brussels

BRUSSELS, 21-8-2015 — /EuropaWire/ — EBN, is delighted to announce the presence of European Commissioner Corina Cretu at its 2015 Annual Congress. Commissioner Cretu, in charge of Europe’s Regional Policy, will join 400+ delegates from over 40 countries to discuss the topic “New Frontiers for Innovative Entrepreneurs”, from 28-30 October in the Albert Hall, Brussels.

Commenting, Ms Cretu said “I am very proud to be present at this year’s EBN Congress. In the last year alone the EBN network has supported, through its members, 6,300 start-ups and has created 13,500 jobs across Europe. In a time of economic imbalance we need more initiatives like this to provide the support our entrepreneurs need to grow internationally.”

Europe’s current economic challenges are actually offering promising opportunities to entrepreneurs who can exploit their skills at the frontiers of digitisation, technology, society, environment and globalisation.

EBN’s role supporting today’s frontiers people has never been more important. This year’s EBN Congress is focusing on where the frontiers are, who is working at crossing those frontiers, how EU|BICs are helping with this activity, learning from the ecosystem, and celebrating the successes of some of the most innovative frontier businesses.
